Consulate General Halifax

Welcome to the website for the U.S. Consulate General in Halifax. The Consulate serves the four Atlantic Provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the two small French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon.

The Consulate was established in 1833 and is the oldest diplomatic post in Canada. The Consulate provides services to American Citizens, issues Non-Immigrant Visas, coordinates cultural exchanges, responds to media inquiries, and promotes good Political and Economic relations between Atlantic Canada and the United States.
